How Does the Beads of Courage Program Work?

Upon enrollment each child is given the Beads of Courage bead color guide with a detachable membership card. Their Beads of Courage journey begins when each child is first given a length of string and beads that spell out their first name. Then, colorful beads, each representing a different treatment milestone are given to the child by their professional health care provider to add to their Beads of Courage collection throughout their treatment as determined by the Beads of Courage Bead Guide (available from Beads of Courage, Inc.)

Earn Chef Lucas Points with every Bead!

Chef Lucas wants to reward your child/family with points as your child earns his/her Beads of Courage. Chef Lucas points can used to purchase additional meal-kits and/or gift cards to various restaurants on our website (gift cards coming soon!). Moreover, Chef Lucas has created a digital means to display your child’s beads. After your child earns a bead, simply select the link below based on the procedure completed and submit the appropriate form. A bead will be added to your child’s account and you will be rewarded with Chef Lucas points accordingly (amount dependent on procedure accomplished). Chef Lucas will maintain this program on the honor system.
